Unfortunately the computer system failed this morning half way through the morning clinics. This was due to a national fault with the software that we use to contain patient records.
When this happens, it is unsafe to continue to see patients due to not having access to sufficient medical information. Many patients had to be sent away and asked to re-book, unless they had a life threatening medical emergency.
This computer problem was later resolved after a few hours, and services were back to normal briefly before the telephone lines were accidentally cut by some nearby roadworks. A complete coincidence.
Both systems are now repaired.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused to anyone today, but this was unfortunately beyond our control.
