SURGERY OPENING HOURS

We are open from 8.00am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

If you need to contact/discuss any concerns/services with us please
either telephone or call in to surgery during these hours.

Practice News and Notices

Change of Computer system; delays expected.

We will receive an new computer programme for our clinical information on 10th May. 

In the meantime, we have some unavoidable delays with the booking of appointments whilst the new system is transferred over, fully installed, and whilst staff are trained which happens over the two weeks before. 

On 2nd May, we have no access to be able to book appointments in the future, this will be resolved on Thursday 3rd May and all bookings will resume. 

We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to patients during this transition stage and thank you for your patience.  We do expect the new software to be able to provide a better and more efficient service to patients in the long run, and feel that the delays will be outweighed by the benefits.

 

Practice Training afternoons:

We shall be completely closed on Thursday 3rd may from 12 noon.  This is for scheduled staff training.  Please direct any urgent calls to NHS Direct or wait until 8am on Friday.

 

 Patient Satisfaction Survey finished - Results and action plan now published - Please refer to the Patient Participation section on the left to access these documents, or email the Practice Manager to be sent your own copy of the relevant documents.

 

New Service - reminder by TEXT MESSAGE; mobile numbers currently being gathered.

The practice will be introducing a new reminder system from June 2012, where patients who have given a mobile number will automatically receive a text message 24 hours before their booked appointment.  This service will also be used for sending our flu vaccination invitations.  PLEASE give your mobile number to reception, and please encourage friends and family to update their details too. 

 

 New!... Internet Booking of appointments! - no need to wait on the telephone.  To register for an account, please bring phot I.D to Reception, and you will receive a set of passwords to use on your home computer to create a link.

 

 New!... Internet Ordering of regular Prescriptions - no need to drop your request off in person!

You can now order repeat prescriptions online at https://www.emisaccess.co.uk BUT, you must be registered with a secure internet account first.  To do this, take a form of photo ID to reception, and they will send you away with the secure details with which you can create an account.  If you wish to use this service please contact the surgery for more information, remembering you will need photo ID to be able to register for an account.

 

Dr Cole is currently on Maternity leave. 

She is being replaced by Dr Catrin Lewis and Dr Caroline Tait on a temporary basis.  We expect Dr Cole back at the end of December 2012.

 

Extended Hours Opening

The practice opens from 7am on a thursday morning every week.

There are evening appointments available upto 9pm twice a week on a two week rota system, please ask at Reception for details
